Just this morning I have an internet connection.
The week has been sucktacular in ways I could not imagine were possible mere days ago. To establish the internet collection alone took the intervention of my IT lady, a borrowed USB cable, a 37 pin DIn extension cord, 11 lbs of ice,and a burlap bag of live squirrels.
All the damned bridges here are either adorned with scrap iron or have some growth or another preceeding them from either direction. The Missou is mostly hidden from sight, what’s the point in that? The hotel on the TV has 1100 channels, apparently, most of which involve sports. The documentary I watched in the wee hours of the morning was still- despite the graphic depiction of rhinocerous masturbation- an improvement over the debates, which I blissfully slept through. Though I hear the moderator actually fellated the Won. I’d rather see rhino pecker, truth be told.

Yep, That is why Romeny did not everserate the one when he had the chance. Here he thought he was in a cage match with a guy who could not tag out.
CNN is definitely on my never trust these lying scum bags list permantly.
As far as bridges; the place you’re looking for is the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. It’s just north of downtown Omaha, across the street from the Century Link Center. A cable-stayed bridge suspended from two towers and crossing the Missouri River. Pedestrian-only (and roller skates and kids on skateboards and a multitude of dogs) and great views of the Missouri River and downtown Omaha, if you like that sort of thing.
I have relatives in Omaha and am able to visit occasionally, the pedestrian bridge is one of my favorite places in Omaha. Very worthwhile if you can find the time and find your way there.
If it was yesterday, I’d have sure given it a shot- today, it’s dreary and nasty and I have no cold weather gear.
