Things I’ve learned #2
I may be slow, but I eventually spot trends.
It seems no matter how much I try not to be involved in conversations with liberals, (not wanting to engage in battles of wits with the unarmed) I invariably get drawn in because some moron makes a snide comment in what otherwise is a great discussion. I feel compelled to comment, and their response reminds me of the liberal Peewee Herman Argument.
No, stick with me a moment. You make a statement that is true, verifiable, and concise, and rather than state the obvious “That may be true, but let’s discuss x…” the garden variety liberal counters with (the equivalent of) “you are but what am I?” I was reading a discussion in Chez Alli, one of my favorite spots. She was speaking to the decisiveness of the left in regard to their name calling etc, tactics in regard to Bush, and I have to agree with her.. and someone calling himself “jb” (of course, no email or link, what do you expect) comes back with “so there”.
“So there?” I am amazed that four year olds read her blog. Certainly, my daughter got past the “so there” stage when SHE was four, I cannot imagine anyone still spouting that as “reasoning” as an adult.
Idiots. (Lest anyone accuse me of namecalling, “idiot” is a reasonable description of anyone who uses “so there” as a point in an argument. An idiot is above an imbecile and a moron in intelligence, but still of a lower level. Calling George Bush “shrub” etc as Alli points out, is purely partisan.)

Its not the partisan-ness of the “Shrub” crap that gets me, I’ve dealt with hacks before. Hell I’ve lived with them… but to say that calling him “shrub” is DISSENT is crap. They say “this is pay back for Clinton”… well honestly, thats horse shit. Grrrr… I don’t remember anything other than “Slick Willy” namewise for Clinton… and that isn’t that bad.
/rant
Even “slick willy” is descriptive.
Speaking of… someday someone more worldly than me is going to have to explain the cigar thing…. I’m so confused…. *pouts* Pity the innocent one.
explain? as in what’s there to explain?
Alli, you don’t want to know. Let it go.
Good advice, Tanya.
To continue our courteous discussion over at Alli’s blog…
Are you daring me to find instances of conservatives or republicans calling liberals names? If so I’ll be happy to do a 10 second google search. If not, don’t make points that contain facts, because if I am confronted by reality, I often begin to cry. But hey, I’ve come here just to be an ass, and I’ve accomplished that, so I’ll move on. hell, I’m banned anyway.
– Nothing but a liberal
No, I don’t bother to converse with fools in my house.
Besides, it would be a pointless exercise, because for every instance of a conservative “calling any liberal a name” I can find a thousand instances of the obverse.
Additionally, it’s not just about calling names; it’s about the consistant and constant policy of character assassination practiced by the left, and which is the exclusive property of the left. And I don’t have to do any google search to do that. The policy of personal destruction is a long and well known practice of the left.
Bye!!
Alright, I’ll just bask in my ignorance. Prolly better for my sleeping pattern anywya. :P
