It takes a certain disposition to do this job
Some of which involves the ability to sit stalled in traffic for several hours at a time, which I have to do often. If a Nascar driver wanted to impress me, let him spend 25 years in 3 hours of rush hour traffic every day and not commit mayhem. Anyone can go fast.
Anyway, there are days which even try my not inconsequential endurance, and today was one such. Suffice to say by the time I arrived i was hapy to get a coffee and settle in to some NOT DRIVING.
So THAT’S why there were so many traffic copters.
I’d trade 3 hours of rush hour for the 10 hours a week I spend sitting in the dance school parking lot, in the ugliest part of the city these days.
Rush hour would HAVE to be at least a bit more exciting.
(Btw, thanks for the kind words you left at Jean’s.)
fred, you were and are one of my favorite bloggers because you are real and you understand how blessed you have been.
I hope you have good situational awareness in the lot- stay off the phone, don’t read or text. You’re no dummy and this is not your first time to this rodeo, so I’m sure you’re careful.
