Scouting
Land a good friend allowed me to hunt last year. Everything looks good, I just hope I have a good shot at a deer.
Very beautiful piece of property. And drivingback across the Indiana plains, watching the storm pass north and west of me, I realize flatland is in my soul. I have stood on high granite escarpments and walked mountain passes, and they are beautiful, but i love the plains.
Yes, the plains have their own beauty.
The better to see approaching danger?
I hear you. When I used to live in NJ I ached for the big fields. The smell of corn and beans both green and at harvest, and the straight forward nature of the folks in the Midwest. I have lived in a lot of places but my soul is here.
We enjoy both here in Cal. central valley.
Corn, cotton, flat.
Ninety minutes to the mountains or the beach.
Shame about the rest of the state though.
I like seeing the entire sky.
