If the Libertarian party didn’t already exist
The left would have to creat it.
They would feed it lies about how, if you’re”True to your principles” you can work hard and have a good constitutional republic and still be able to smoke dope and murder babies and have consequence free sex with who or whatever you like, because those religious people they’re fucking up this world with their morals and their rules, man! And the Libertardians would take their marching orders and go to the polls and see no real conservative ever got nominated and if nominated none ever got elected.
Wait…
Wait… They ARE part of the problem.
However, the bigger problem is the Progressives in the GOP that aid and abet the radicals so that the Dem party is so successful. I don’t know about the other states, but voter fraud got institutionalized here over 8 years under a GOP secretary of State, and was abetted by the phony GOP governor Schwarzenkennedy who never would have been in position to steal the 2003 recall election in the first place had not Karl Rove & company scuttled the campaign of the conservative candidate in the election in 2002 (so that a recall would not have been necessary had they put pressure on Riordan to help instead of sulking). The kind of sulk you we have come to expect from that sort of Repubican (you know, like Lugar did to Mourdock).
While I don’t exactly disagree with what you’re saying, I have to ask: How did the Libertarians keep conservative candidates off the Republican ticket? Every asshole the Republican party put up for nomination during the primaries (with the exception of Ron Paul, and I know how you feel about him), had almost zero conservative credentials. Bill Clinton was conservative enough to get a nomination this time around. How is that the Libertarians fault?
The “New standard” for conservative candidates includes “Someone who will keep their mouth shut about abortion, drugs, immigration, and God” This is in NO small part due to the PC-ization of America, and liberalism and libertarianism is at the core of that drive to be PC.
That is my opinion. I have been wrong before. The longer I live, the more I see to reinforce that opinion.
That has been my experience as well, but only the big “L” Libertarians. The little “l” libertarians, that I normally consort with, and perhaps I’m being myopic myself, don’t want anything to do with the Libertarian party.
Hi! Im matt b, too stupid to live. I love to blame others for the messes i cause
I agree with Hermit. Got no problem with libertarians. Got a big problem with the Libertarian Party.
Wife figures it will all be ending soon anyway. I doubt we have enough time left to see the patterns emerge.
Damn, but that sounds gloomy.
