Yesterday
The Ogwife and I attended the Roe and Roeper Toys for Tots holiday show.
The band was The Ides of March, and Jim Peterik was in fine voice; I have seen him perform before and he has the most amazing boots. Last year they were lizardskin and HUGE, and this year they were mirrored and huge. I couldn’t help myself, I had to go ask: Is that just for the stage, or are his feet that big? I walked to the stage after the show and looked; sure as shit,the shoes had a crease in the vamp where the ball of his foot should be, he DOES have feet that big! Damn.
I didn’t get a chance to listen. Did Lee Ermey make his annual appearance?
Painfully, no. Seems Mr Ermey is on two years good behavior for some unpleseantness while inebriated at the R&R show two years back.
I used to work with a guy who was 5’8″, and wore size 16 shoes. He wore safety boots with the outside steel plate, and when you stood back and looked at him as a whole he looked like an old Charlie Chaplin cartoon.
