I ordinarily do not read Roger Simon.
Personally, I think he’s a freak. P calls him a SCUNC and that probably fits. But even a blind nut finds a squirrel once in a while (sic) and this is one such occasion.
He discusses the Jewish tradition that 36 just men are born into every generation to carry the burden of the world’s suffering- the Lamed-Vav Tzadikim. 36 men- or women- without whom the world would come to a catastrophic end.
It is a very interesting concept, and a new one on me. Is it possible that in our midst there are those people, keeping the planet safe? If so, I can only pray that their eventual reward is intense. Meanwhile, if, as Roger posits, this guy is one of them, I hope someone is helping to watch his six.
How many of us are standing up as he has done?

Thank you, I’d been looking for that video and couldn’t find it for some reason.
Read something about this tradition a week or so ago; if it’s right, those people have fearsome work.
yeah, talk about hideous strength, huh?
Good job Og in expanding upon the story and in beginning to shed light on what it takes to be a Tsadik.
I need to correct the record. I am WARY of Roger Simon. I only suspect him of being a SKUNC — Statist Knowingly Undermining National Charters (also works in Joan of Argghh!’s version: Statist Kneeling to UN Control). He is the owner of PJmedia and makes money out of controversy.
These anti-conservative SKUNCs laugh at you when you call them or “Progressive” Republicans RINOs. They think of themselves as elitist type republicans, doing the thinking for society because you are too stupid to think correctly as they do. Hence I think SKUNC is a much more meaningful term, and also as it carries two other meanings that are not complimentary: polecat and that they stink.
Reminds me of my favorite moment in “The Avengers”, when the old German man stands up to Loki. “There are always men like you.” Screw Iron Man&Co., that guy was the real hero.
