I am writing this late at night
To be posted in the morning.
The Ogwife has laid her hands on a quart jar of Cabbage and Beet Kraut, and has added horseradish thereto, and this may be the end of your intrepid correspondent. I should have eaten some just so as not to be unarmed, but I can’t handle the stuff- I eat beets like once a year and kraut almost never. (Yeah, I know. I’m a squarehead from way back, but I just can’t handle kraut)

(If this is not too late)
Have you considered sleeping in the garage? Yes, freezing is possible… but it will be done with deep breaths of clean air.
Hot damn, but I loves me some kraut. There’s a local co. that makes the best tasting kraut I ever stuffed down my gullet. Supposedly all organic, and dirt cheap. I go through about a pound and a half a week. Good stuff, and yes my head is the squarest of the square.
When I was a kid in Ballard, (a Scandahoovian enclave in NW Seattle) the joke was that haircuts were a dollar. Two bits a side.

Loves me some beets in vinegar…
My 8 yo boy does too…
The rest of the family, not so much…..
Good thing you don’t smoke.
“Kraut macht schoen,” as my Austrian Grandmother always said.
Not ‘kraut by any stretch, but happens if you eat kimchee? I love the stuff but don’t eat it often:
1) Too much salt
2) My Lovely Bride abhors the smell of the kimchee itself
3) I can sometimes have “digestive issues” after consuming a serving.
