Last night, in conversation
about Michelle Obama dressing like a welfare queen with a stolen credit card:
“You just hate them so everything they do is bad”
No.
First of all, Michelle does dress like a welfare queen with a stolen credit card. To be fair, she has one photo where she is in a little black dress with pearls that makes her look ok, but I’ve yet to meet the woman who can’t pull off the little black dress.
No, I don’t think everything “They” do is bad because I hate them, and I don’t really even hate them, I just want them- and their type- to go away, preferably far away, and preferably forever.
I do hate what they stand for, and that is the truth. I don’t think everything they do is bad because I hate what they stand for; I hate what they stand for because everything they do is vile. I cannot find a redeeming feature of the Obamas, or any liberal- though I have tried bloody hard to do so.
Unlike hardcore liberals, I distribute my dislike where it is deserved, and I point it as much at republicans as I do at democrats; and I have never made any bones about that. Where both Bushes had their issues, they did do some pretty important good things, and even very bright people I know can’t figure that out.
No, with a shitty economy, skyrocketing energy prices, government sponsored greed and corruption at all levels, mind blowing deficit, healthcare system ready to go tits up, incremental assaults on our freedoms from all corners….
No. I don’t think everything democrats do is bad because I hate them. I hate them because everything they do is bad.

They could be as white as John Kerry, Howard Dean and John Edwards pulling a train on Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and I’d still despise them with every iota of my being.
Skin color has jack to do with this.
Not about skin color, not about being a democrat, nor even a liberal. It’s about the things they do, which are all always bad.
I did not like the Clintons either. Trailer trash from the word go. It is like they have never lived in a decent home in their entire lives. Hell, I was poor and did not know it and I don’t want to do half the stuff those clowns do daily.
And now we have to be talked down to by the O for one hour.
That asshole can talk all he likes, I don’t have to listen. It is a free country, after all.
I wonder how long that will last?
His droning is killing me.
And I’ve come to grips with the fact that I do hate him.
I despise him.
I pray about it, because I shouldn’t.
Everything they do is not bad. Just the overwhelming majority of it is bad. If I were to be generous, the real problem is the unintended consequences which are so bad I have to wonder if they are really unintended.
Dave: name something.
Well Og, that’s a tough one. I guess I could say that since I have a 2nd grade boy, the women serving in combat roles *could* lead to women registering for the draft. That *might* mean that in some future war someone’s daughter takes the bullet meant for my son. (Forgive the long train of what if’s, I took it as an intellectual exercise.) Now I need to wash myself, feeling dirty even trying….
Crap, now I have coffee in me and realized that you wanted something that he did that was good for the whole country as opposed to just one special interest group or even one person. Anyone who gets a handout could say it was GREAT. (F-bomb)Wow, I think I will work on solving an easier problem, like FTL travel…..
Interesting thing about most liberals I’ve had arguments with: they can’t conceive of strongly opposing someone without hating them. As in PERSONALLY hating them.
Tell them “I don’t hate anyone; I do despise them, and most of what they do” and they insist that’s the same as hating them. Don’t want to hear it when you explain it’s not the same thing.
I don’t really hate them; the best I can muster up is a strong feeling of contempt.
