Rush was talking about the disconnect people have with reality; he cited how many people were displeased with the state of the nation and how at the same time they thought that Wingnuthead was doing a fine job.
he stated something I have heard before but not for a very long time, and it is perfectly applied here:

The morons who are fucking us at every turn are immune to your reason and your discussion. They “believe” in their Godhead, despite knowing that he isn’t accomplishing a single useful thing. You cannot convince them.

The morons are aware of the facts, but the facts mean nothing in the face of their beliefs. And their beliefs are strong. Unfortunately they are not strong enough to make their beliefs into facts, but they neither know this nor care.
And there you stand. You have a sling and a stone, and you face the largest philistine ever, the combined forces of the media, the unions, and the educational system. The time is coming when you will need to put the sling in the stone. And when you do, you will not be welcomed as a hero, you will be derided and abused and condemned by the press, by the fedgov, and probably even by people you think are your friends. What will you do? Will you throw the stone? or will you yap some more, hoping that maybe you can find the one thing to say that will drop Goliath to his knees? You will not. As I have been chided for saying before, yapping doesn’t work.
It all depends on whether you see what you believe or believe what you see.
What I see is the playground wienie given the best military in the world and they told him to piss off. So he is putting teeth in the one dubya left lying around. It will be really hard to land a good punch, but I don’t see them surviving in the long haul.
Personal survival might be a moot point though. And that is the bitch.

But you’re correct about them pretending to be asleep. Seems that now the Second Anointment has arrived, all the Wolves are peeling off their Sheep Costumes.
Which is why one needs Standard Capacity Magazines more than ever, and the Ammo to feed them. That’s a mighty big Pack to take on with just a Revolver!
We’ve found the rock and we’ve found Goliath, the only question is “Which branch of Government will prevent the other two branches from destroying our Constitution and making moot the need for a third, judicial branch?”(hint, hint, HINT!)
Oh, and they better jump up right quick before they are disbanded altogether as “antiquated and redundant, just like our second and fifth amendments”.

Perhaps off topic. I was doing some reloading over the weekend. I wasn’t paying much attention, just trying to use up some powder and ended up making a lot more than I intended. Hmmm. I went to put it away and discovered that I also had more ammo than I thought of other sizes. Further, I noticed that I had a boatload of components. I don’t remember buying all that. hopefully, I’ll find some way to put it to good use before it goes bad.
Prof. Hale…I suspect we could find people who would help you reallocate those resources if you were so inclined….

Thanks, Jet. But things haven’t gotten desperate yet. And spring is just a month away. And no telling when normal market conditions for ammo will return.
They won’t. I have a press and some dies. Can’t find a primer top save my soul.
6-9 months is the projected return to normality. I don’t think we have that long.
