I always loved Dr Who.
And some of the episodes were really pretty good- but to hand the construction of the Daleks over to Shawcraft Engineering, who basically made an ultra evil indestructible enemy that could be rendered completely impotent by…. stairs…
That was always unforgiveable to me.

later, they have a hover ability. Which begs the question: if they had that ability, why not use it all the time?
And if they want to exterminate everything, why even have that annoying voicebox? Not really much need for talking.
But the worst part was the unforgivable attempt to force feed a gay character into the plot (Torchwood).
Yep. The villians in Dr. Who always did set my teeth on edge. Evil doesn’t always mean stupid, although the two do correlate a little more often than the Democrat Party would find comfortable.
It always seemed a little stilted to be. Like most of the british comedies.
Or it could be me I guess.
