Who gives a fuck?
When rubber first started to be popular, they made objects of rubber that looked like the objects they replaced- like leatherette book covers, etc. Plastic replaced leather and hard rubber products and spent a lot of time trying to look like the items it replaced. When cars came along they looked, at first, like horse buggies. The first computers looked like the typewriters they replaced.
OSM is one of the death throes of the Old Media trying to make the “new” thing look and feel as much like the “old” thing as possible. Tough luck, guys. This is gonna be a flop. DOn’t invest the farm.

I ain’t a bloggist, but I read some of ’em on my ‘pooter. The best thing I’ve seen so far is the reference to “Open Sores Media” It’s gotta be one of the funniest lines I’ve read in months.
The rage and invective were almost as funny.
Some of these twits take themselves too damn seriously.
