    Well, the uncle was the one seeking amnesty in the first place. His brother stayed behind and the rest of the family followed.

    That would lead me to the conculsion the dad is the one to be least trusted in the whole thing.

    Used to be, amnesty had a real purpose. It was for people fleeing our enemies. Asylum seekers were the best Americans – they knew the evil from which they fled, appreciated the chance to live securely in their homes without a knock from the police in the night, and when we went to war, they ran to the recruiter and didn’t need to wait for a draft notice. I’ve known Cubans, Russians, Poles, and Chinese who were so pro-American it hurt.

    Now you get some guy who stares daggers at you when you go inside his gas station to pay for your pump instead of sliding the card outside, and who goes along tax free as they keep selling the business to the next new cousin to keep it a new Muslim business.
