Four out of seven ain’t bad
Of the seven deadly sins, today I have committed four: Gluttony, lust, greed, and sloth.
Now, I have to say, faced with the kind of repast which is commonly available at Mom’s, I tend to think, anyone would have done the same as did I.
I’m sitting here drinking the tailings of a nice Leonard Kreusch Auslese, with a nice piece of very old Roquefort (the real thing, too, not any of this wisconson stuff). I have very nearly become immobile, and once the wine and cheese is gone, I may choose not to move for several hours/days. Well, ok, there’s a sweet potato pie in the house, so I’ll get moving again soon.. but it will not be easy.
I also hope to try to rouse my ass at 4:00 AM that I may hit the fields for deer; wish me luck.
Hope y’all’s turkey day was a genuine treat. Mine was. At least in part because of many of you.

I wanna hear about the lust part.

You’ve never had Mom’s gravy. It’s a beverage.
Yes, I feel like the old comercial — “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing”. I to go to TWO Thanksgiving dinners!
I’m still stuck at the “wine and cheese” part. A better pairing is hard to find.
Hope the hunt was a success!
Except for traffic [I95 south, from NoVA to Richmond, an almost constant traffic jam– on the actual day?! (I hate living here sometimes). A breeze coming home. Hell, driving back at frikin’ midnight I guess it would be. :-/ ], it was truly a blessed day. Finally got around to watching some of “The Thin Man” movies, too :-)
Save some venison for little ‘ol me, okay? Yum!
