today
I have to work with a customer who has just this week buried his wife. I have no clue what to say to him. He’s younger than I and has young children. I can only pray so I’m doing a lot of that.

Death for younger people is hard to take. We are used to not having people die it is hard to take when they do.
We buried my wife’s brother a few years back and it was hard. He was 42. Luckily his kids where older. he had a long battle with cancer.
My prayers go out to you and your friend.
A good friend and co-worker of mine died some years back. He was 49. I was totally at a loss as what to say to his wife and kids. I finally figured that whatever I’d want to hear if I was in that situation was the best I was going to do. It was fine.
My prayers are with you and your customer as well. God bless you all.

I have said that I am keeping he and is family in my prayers. No one has ever objected to or been offended by that, although some doubt the effectiveness.
May the Lord bless them and keep them; may He cause His face to shine upon them and be gracious to them. May the Lord smile upon them and bring them peace.
