it’s almost like I care
but not really. I’m going to hit the gunstores. There seems to be a slow return of 22 ammo, with the oddball stuff coming back first. I see a lot of Sniper Subsonic rounds out there, and stuff like that.Soon as it comes back, I’mna get my stock up again. Having only a few thousand rounds of 22 on hand is killing me.

Amen, brother. Hate to shoot any till I know I can replenish.
I’ve seen some mexican stuff here and there.
I’m curious and not throwing stones here, but when and how did you come by a thousand rounds?
The DHS is not authorized to buy .22 (heh) so I’m wondering here it’s gone.
Everything I read is that it’s people snatching everything they can get off the shelf as soon as they see it.
Ed, it’s exactly that from what I can tell. With a bunch of people waiting for the store to open so they can grab it all then taking it to shows and mark it up about 400% or so.
And a lot of people that see it in the store and grab it because they fear not seeing it again.
My buddy that works at a local gun store tells me 22 ammo does not stay in the store over an hour or two. If the store opens with any, it’s gone before noon every day. Of course they’re also not getting huge stocks of it in, neither, but they sell all they got as soon as they get it.
And they don’t get it every day.
As long as this fear factor remains and/or production ramps up to meet demand, supply will continue to be sought after and scarce.
Glad to hear there’s signs of more.
Jenny
I’m down to a few hundred of .45ACP and 9mm. Something’s got to give, soon…
Was at Walmarts tonight to pick up a pen knife and was surprised to see 15 boxes of 7.62×39 and nothing else. Could only by three. Already have twenty or so left over.
Clerk said he saw .40, 9, etc earlier in the day at another Walmarts about 20 miles away. Offered to give him my credit card…..
