You ask for, and sometimes you get the pope you deserve. This one is a doozy.
No doubt this will spawn yet another reformation because people are too damned dumb to understand that they need new hearts, not new religions.

I think God probably has a hand in putting the right person in the right place at the right time. I do believe the world we have now is much better than it was years and years ago. Your new Pope makes me think of Jesus more and the church as an entity less..
He isnt “my” pope hes “the” pope, and what a clusterfuck he is. And if by “better” you mean loaded with evil, sin, and ignorance, which is what I’d expect from an educator, you’re correct. Of course what you think of “Jesus” is undoubtedly so far from reality as to not be in the same county.
Thank you, Og. Not being Catholic, I usually only half pay attention to what edicts and such come from the Vatican. When this Pope actually claimed you didn’t have to believe in God to go to Heaven, that changed. I wondered how you felt about that. Is there any procedures in place for “impeachment”, in case whoever is in the office loses the cheese off their cracker?
The Church has a history of worrisome popes. Several of them caused things like the protestant reformation. The inquisition was another great pope idea. The pope is the pope, only God can change that. As he has done several times- remember JPI? The Lord works in mysterious ways- and this is certainly mysterious. Wait, see, and pray.
