Don’t forget that they will magically stop polling peripherals and other connected devices also. Makes for some fun times. We went to rockwell to get some reliability.

Why use three simple parts when you can use fourteen, two bearing shafts, and a bimetallic spring?

It is indeed the s word people. I am in the belly of the beast.
Try troubleshooting a German modern digital printing press worth millions of dollars. And yeah, it has their control systems in it. Nightmare fuel.

I remember once looong time ago the dad of the guy I worked for brought in his Mercedes for a service. Part of it was to drain the coolant out. He was walking around the car cussing a blue streak so I asked him what the problem was. He could not find the drain plug for the radiator so I walked under the car ( it was on a hoist ) and noticed a hex plug in a bold holding the lower radiator mount. Seems the drilled the bolt so you pulled the plug and the radiator drained. Don’t know that I ever got credit for that find. Did think it was a slick piece of engineering.
They are the masters of detail. I bet you could build one after there turn it on class.
It ain’t the “S-word” people, is it?
