WTF, over?
Spent several hours last weekend adjusting some sights on a couple firearms prior to the beginning of deer season, only to discover that the blasted boresighter is not collimated properly.
Ah well, I suppose I have a couple millions worth of machine tools at my disposal for a reason.

Hate it when that happens. Bore sight does seem to shorten sight checking trips to the range.
I find if frustrating to go the range and not hit what I am aiming at.
Just about ready to go to peep sights as iron sight are always in a plane with the gun. Harder to point shoot with a scope.
On the other hand, scopes really help for those long shots.
Paul B, here’s a scope tip for you that makes point-shooting with one possible.
It does require one with the illuminated reticle feature.
But, if you’re still-hunting or stalking, and think you might end up point-shooting, turn the reticle up to full brightness, and close the front lens cover.
Mount the rifle with both eyes open, and you’ll have that reticle acting like 1970’s Aimpoint sight, seemingly overlaid right over the target that your non-dominant eye is seeing in direct view.
Run some non-critical field trials, i.e; not hunting, and you’ll find that it works.

Sounds good. That wont work for me as I lost one eye a long time ago. Never about dominate eye so I never knew if I lost the dominant one or not. Does not matter now as the one remaining is now dominate.
I just need to spend some more time at the range and quit shooting at moving targets.
