Lawmakers pulled an all nighter resulting in the resolution of the pension crisis, the end to corruption in the political system, eliminated the high crime and inner city poverty, and even fixed all the crumbling infrastructure. Since all the other problems were fixed they went on to sign into law legislation that affects a vanishingly small part of the population to show how cool and progressive they are.
