birdsong this morning.
Even a very confused robin. More snow on the way but the first cracks are showing in winter. Only a few miles south of me there is almost no snow left on the ground.
I’m ready.

Been heavy activity at the feeder lately. And while there are large patches of this mysterious brown stuff there is still plenty of ice/snow to the southeast of you. Hope this is the last major fall for this winter. looking forward to good mushroom hunting in a month or so.
He and his buddy are obviously waiting for a nice sunny day.
Then, you’ll have Basking Robins.

Saw a bunch of robins over in the neighbors crab apple tree. They had pretty much cleaned it out. I’ve been watching Geese fly over and I think they are thinking it is not time yet. I figure three more weeks before we start to have liveable temperatures again and not more of the white water.
I wish you folks north of the Red River would quit leaving your south door open.
Temperature here in the Dallas area is supposed to be 80 degrees today and then go down to 19 on Sunday night.
I suppose the silver lining is that the last snow we saw was a couple of inches in December.
I think your robin was confused. I have yet to see one in my back yard, although I did see two squirrels making serious love there a couple of days ago.
Still laughing over the basking robins comment… Looks like I’m heading home at EXACTLY the wrong time… Supposedly more snow hitting NOVA this week.
One lonely robin in the yard this PM pulling worms out of the ground. Two juncos sitting on the fence supervising.
Earlier on there was a crow sticking bits of bread under a patch of grass then covering it with loose grass. I think the crows have been watching the squirrels.

MKL, it’s 14 in Oklahoma City. It was about 50 this time yesterday. I think the robin I saw here a couple of days ago probably fled in your direction; boy, is he gonna be pissed.
