How it’s done
Exploder MKII has a habit of marking it’s territory with diff fluid. I could fix this, but I like raping Mother Gaeia.
the lubricant, of course, is there for a reason, and it is needed. Anyone who has ever spent an hour laying in grease under a car squeezing a gear lube bottle to squoosh out the molasses-like oil knows it isn’t much fun, and I’m nothing if not lazy as blazes, so I will tell you the secret- and it doesn’t involve owning a lift, and having a young kid do it for you.
I own several of these.

Horror Fright tools, $12.
I have one filled with gearlube which has the “Spray” wand removed, but the handset with the latching valve is still there. So you pump up the sprayer, pull the plug on the diff, jam the handset in the hole and latch the handset in the ” On” position. No squeezing bottles, no giving yourself a full nelson underneath the car, and almost no filthiness. I have another I use for brake fluid and yet another I use for bleeding brakes. If I could buy a 55 gallon one, I would fill it full of motor oil to do oil changes.

We used to have things like that in the service stations I working when I was a yute. Back when there we actually service stations not these abbreviated grocery stores we have now.
Brilliant! I’m going to do that. Thanks.
I do the same thing with those vacuum pumps from the same store. The hand operated ones. Put some gear lube in the bottle. Reverse the vacuum line. A few squeezes and the oil goes where it is supposed to.
Obviously, since I don’t have a car that leaks oil like your does, I don’t need to do this unless I am changing the fluids. so $12 is a steep investment. I use the $8 model.
yeah, the original explorer that I have had for longest still doesn’t leak a drop. This one, loaded with previous owner bullshit, is a mess.
It wonders me, is Horror Fright Tools connected in any way to Hazard Frought Tools?
Inquiring minds, yada, yada, yada.
Yep. Same company, different letters.
Your smart man, boss…. anyone else remember the TV show that line came from? The guy who uttered it was called Frog…
Damn. Best of the west?
Inspired. Halbol Fleight does have its uses.
