i often think
About buying a “nice” car. Something that would sit in the garage until weekends then get driven around some of the nice twisty roads here.
And then there was Saturday. Saturday every frog hog and dog was out on the road, and nobody could drive faster than 5.
Fuck that. If I get a car its gonna be a $500 beater and I will take it to the track and thrash it. More fun and less hassle.

Having a “nice” car is a real pita. A beater for the track would take as much work, but it could be fun.
Had a boss who’d wanted a Corvette for a loooong time, finally found a nice used one. Belonged to a rancher in Montana, it was his ‘go to town’ car: that was ALL he’d used it for. If the weather was bad, wouldn’t drive it, so it spent most of its’ time in the garage.
Hardly seems worth having.
Looked at a F-150 Ford Tremor Pick-up saterday. Short bed, standard cab, turbo V6, 365 HP, 4,10 posi and FX2 Sport Package. 42,000 WTF, I guess I will never own a new truck again. Have you heard any thing about Frank James.
No, I haven’t heard lately, I been lighting candles. I hope he’s better soon and can return to work. He was occasionally in contact with Tam, you might check with her.
Getting the Chump Car Grand Prix urge again, Og?
Screw cars, I’ve got a truck. When I want to have fun, I have bikes. Next week’ll be 6 years since my life-altering bike wreck. I gotta hustle: I have a CX500 in my folks’ garage that’s road-ready except for a battery charge. I want to spend my anniversary on 2 wheels this year!
After that, well, my 900F restore is almost done…
