Always nice to have a little company

Though, really, one of these in the bathtub is not my idea of fun.
It’s that time of year, though, so I just have to be used to laundering these creepy little arthropods out of my socks.

God’s little joke on us. :-)
I get house centipedes too. They’re good at eating all the, “bad” things, spiders, even roaches. But I still hate them. Had one fall on my face one night in bed. Gets your attention.
I grew up in Hawaii where the centipedes are a top predator, big, fast and have vicious bites.
Are these long-legged versions venomous too?
I know they can bite but I don’t think they have much in the way of venom.
Fortunately: “Unlike its shorter-legged but much larger tropical cousins, S. coleoptrata can live its entire life inside a building, usually the ground levels of homes. They are generally considered harmless to humans.[11] Bites (stings) are extremely uncommon, and the forcipules of most house centipedes are not strong enough to penetrate human skin. Stings are generally no worse than a bee’s sting, with its venom causing redness and mild to severe swelling.”
They still give me the creeping willies more than just about any other commonly-encountered bug.
I sure dont like them. And I spent most of the weekend with a bleeding head wound do its not like I’m a pussy.
