A prediction
About which I hope I’m wrong.
Now that the Dems have become the Party of partying, no Libertarian will ever have a fiddlers chance of holding any major elected office anywhere. So far as my personal experience goes, the libertarian party was all about hemp, and the few sane sober ones were the exception and not the rule. Might be the crowd I hang with, but that’s the way I see it.

It might be just a tad bit early in the thing to be thinkin’ about giving the white linens a public airing, wouldn’t it so? (/bad irish accent)
They (Democrats) did that in the 70’s. Now those people are trying to kill our party.
they have not had a serious candidate in decades. When the dems have finished this term they will have had the executive office half the time the last 36 years. I think back to 36 years ago and I was probably happier. mainly because I did not know very much.
Back to the salt lick.
To surrender I’d have to be a member, and I lost my decoder ring. The ideal is dandy, but I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of “libertarians” who didn’t patiently explain to me that libertarianism meant everyone being allowed to do what they want, and then start yelling at me for doing it wrong. It makes me wonder if the dopesmoking affects even the non dopesmokers. Or maybe it disables the irony DLL or something.
The Libertardians here in Ohio (land of the criminally awful drivers) are desperately doing their best to re-brand as the party of individual property rights.
Should have done that 30 years ago.
