So
Having spent all last week as sick as two dogs glued together with dog snot, and having spent Friday and Saturday with the Daughter getting her paperwork &etc all taken care of for her first semester of college this fall, Sunday, as much as I would have loved for it to be my day to attend the NRA show, was work day. The lawn needed mowing desperately, the wife’s car had had some issues on Thursday that needed to be rectified, and the kitchen project needed a badly needed boost.
So I drained the radiator on the wifes car and dismantled the overflow container to figure out why the radiator float switch doesn’t work (Turns out the float she no float so good) flushed it with distilled water, (They had put the wrong type of coolant in at the shop) put the correct coolant in, adjusted the battery terminals (they had not been tied down very well and the battery hadn’t charged) and test drove it a bit.
The I needed to mow the lawn lest it start raining and make that impossible, so I backed out the tractor- I needed to pull spring service on it and I didn’t have enough grease so I had to run and get grease, then I changed oil &etc and mowed, and then spent until almost eleven on my knees putting a Pergo floor in the kitchen.
It will be good to get back to work. I need the break.
I wish I had been able to attend NRA, I had planned to do so all year, but it is what it is. Maybe next year. At least I got the full SHOT show experience.

1 out of 2 is not all bad.
The neighbor has some live in thing going on and they need to take a vacuum to her car to get it going in the am.
Have no clue as to what that is about. mid 2k volkswagen rabbit. I have no clue as to what that living arrangement entails other than she must leave for work in the early AM.
So I am awakened to the unseemly howling of the vacuum doing is best to suck that beast into the bag.
Might have to inquire as to what they might be thinking.
You were missed, but life DOES tend to interrupt plans… Glad you got the Mrs. car up and running!
You can make up for it next year, by hosting a hospitality gunbloggers’ suite.
Don’t worry, I’ll work as your bar-back. Missed this year, too. Totaled F-150 and g/f’s heart probs tend to throw plans awry.
