A couple weeks ago
I would not have left the house without a coat and boots. There is still gas in the snowblower.
But I have mowed the lawn twice. I am trying to get the rest of the yard cleaned from the tree that fell last year. And I think, finally, we can say goodbye to winter. The garden is in, the flowers are in, the rosebushes that were killed by the extreme cold have been replaced, and I’m as ready as I’m going to get for summer.

You never say good bye to winter. Not until the green is dead in the drought of summer.
I’m looking at the yard contemplating a couple of circuits with the powered weed cutter.
It’s been close to 90, so we’re probably safe in middle TN. 2 or 3 weeks ago, we had frost. I’m about ready to put out some ‘maters with reasonable confidence.
Winter is coming.
