Oh, that’s great! My sakes, whereever would she have learned to be so vocal? She’s a keeper.
I know the early bird gets the worm, but dang…
Ever since I read Dana say in his memoir “Two Years Before the Mast” how sunrise at sea is so unwelcoming because it is not accompanied by the awakening of life like it is on land, that it is such a dead silent and lifeless brightening, that winter now hits me with that dead new day feeling. Morning in winter is so dreadful. But then spring arrives. Light comes earlier, and with it come the sounds of life – the birds, the insects, increased human activity, a great awakening that I get to share a part of. As winter drags on, I cannot wait for the sound of birds again.
Someday, she will find this connection, too. But for now the birds are an annoyance. No biggee. Like the saying goes, “first world problems.” :)
Apple did not fall far from Og tree.
Nate: I think you mean “Nut”
I was trying to be polite :-)
lol. Nah, it’s cool. I enjoy and appreciate the sarcasm from good friends, and you, my friend, are one of the very best.
Wait until she meets a nightingale. :D
