I am about to engage in the activity that always makes me wish for a diesel.
I’m not sure why they think that assembling an engine around the spark plug wires is a good idea, but I wish they had all twelve feet of wire up their ass, with the sparkplugs.

The diesel underhood engineers give lessons to the gas boys on how to make things difficult.
I may not have to get into my engine as often, but it takes 4 time longer to disassemble things to get to whatever is wrong. Then it costs 5 X more for the part, and then 4 X longer to reassemble.
It is all relative..
Yeah, each has it’s own clusters. Still, I’d trade some other shit to not have to change plug wires.
Exploder need plugs again?
Wires. Did plugs in fall then wires Sunday.
I drive a ’92 F 150 with a mid size V-8. It runs so well it’s weird. It’s been so long since I had to do anything but change oil and filters I can’t even remember what size the engine is.
A good friend has an auto service and repair business and charges reasonable prices. As I’m fairly well set in my retirement, I can actually afford to have him care for my pickup. Having a mechanic I like, trust and go hunting and camping with is a good position to be in.
