mister we could use a man like Ronald Reagan again.
“Rock,” he said – “sometime, when the team is up against it — and the breaks are beating the boys — tell them to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper…
Or, well, just sit on your ass at home because voting doesn’t change anything.

I always vote, I figure they work all year to discourage turnout, so, make ’em pay.
Uncle Ronnie would not make it the starting line today.
I am not surprised that Joni Ernst is being treated to the Palin Purge and she is just running for a senate seat filled by Harking and Smith in the past.
I predict Braley will win in a close contest decided by write in ballots.
I’ll vote, just like I do every time…
NFO, that’s because you are the BOSS.
I’ll vote, but only once. The competition however…. isn’t so self-restrained.

Perhaps, but Reagan has lost some of his glitter for me due to two items that he signed into law:
1) As governor of CA, he started the no-fault divorce trend.
2) As president, he signed a tax into law that taxed US citizens based everywhere, not just those living in the US.
yeah, let’s wait for someone perfect to come along. Because we all remember what happened the LAST time one did.
Reagan, like Lincoln, was a pragmatist.
That’s why today’s revisionists are turning on him.
Jim comes close to winning the internet with the above comment. Being from the burbs of Chicago (hey, it wasn’t my choice…I was born where I was born…), one of the first phrases which stuck in my brain came from around election time. “Vote early, and vote often!!”
Being an election judge out here in the hinterlands….we know…at least by face…most of the folks in our precincts…so it doesn’t happen here (yet).
