Having read the Gary Oldman interview from Playboy
I am even more anxious to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. And I just can’t rent the damned thing anywhere. Maybe I’ll have to buy it. I know I loved the Alec Guinness one, and I do tend to like Gary Oldman.

Was very disappointed in that version. Maybe because I was spoiled by Alec Guiness’ portayal.
I too like Gary Oldman, but Alec Guiness is in a class unto hisself.
Might have to watch it sometime as I am always looking for something to watch. The amount of drek on the TV is just amazing.
It is on NetFlix.
Not streaming. You can get them to send it but I don’t have that service.
Amazon Instant Video, $3.99 to rent in HD.
The acting was excellent but overall the movie disappointed. There wasn’t enough of a sense of urgency about finding the mole.
Good acting, but plotwise all I seem to be able to recall is lots of posh poofters giving each other woeful glances of unrequited passion before betraying their country or killing each other.
You’d think they’d have gotten all that out of their system at Eton…
It’s available (for FREE!) on youTube.
