Overreach
As a guy who has owned a land rover, I can say without reservation that the couple who paid $60k for that beast are nucking futz.
On the other hand, I assumed I woke up in America, where we all have the freedom to be nucking futz, just look at the democrat party.
I guess that’s a bad assumption to make. Anyway, the questions are legion: Why was DHS doing EPA work? Or Customs work? or..or…or…..?
Also, where is the redress? The folks in question are just out $60k? Guess so. They were probably warned: Pay the bill and be happy you aren’t doing jail time.

I’d get up early the next morning and check the facts of the matter for myself.
That’s just the first place I found a link, there are plenty of corroborating stories. but I only relate what I have read, I was not a witness to this with my own eyes.
Some DHS apparatchik will own this after a fair auction to liquidate said seize vehicle.
Maybe the EPA did it using DHS as the raiding entity since EPA does not have swat units standing by.
I’m just glad that no dogs were shot in the making of this movie.

Whatever law compels them to seize and crush these vehicles is stupid and evil.
It needs to be repealed until it can be replaced with one that is not stupid and evil and address whatever legitimate concerns they may have about importing Land Rovers.
I’m much more concerned about the damage EPA and DHS running around my nation harassing, arresting, searching, or seizing stuff from people than I am about imported Land Rovers.
ICE is now part of DHS.
There was a local business that thrived on taking European cars and making them compliant with US safety and environmental laws. Why the owners would not be allowed to rectify the problems is beyond me.
