Wood, or plastic?
Are you the kind of guy (or girl) who likes a nice wood stock, as opposed to plastic? Someone who would rather feel wood under your cheek, or grip a wood handled pistol?
Then get your ass in gear. Rutland Plywood burned to the ground yesterday morning. Solidly 80% of the wood that is used in better quality gunstocks and pistol grips is Dymondwood or some variation thereof, and it all comes from Rutland.
here’s hoping they can rebuild and be back in production very quickly- otherwise, no wood for you!!!

I’ve never liked Dymondwood, myself, aesthetically.
(And since it’s plastic-impregnated plywood, I tend to view it as “plastic” anyway… I like my wood to be wood.)
But never fear, people who like it – other companies make the same stuff with a different brand name.
Not in these quantities, they dont. Also, you most likely couldn’t identify dymondwood reliably. I’ll take it over the crappy stained poplar that you probably think is walnut any day of the week.
I like Laminate my self. But I would take dymondwood if they had it for a ruger 10-22.
I’ll take real wood… And old guns… :-)
Rutland didn’t need that… I hope they rebuild, but I wouldn’t count on it. At least, not rebuilding in Rutland.
I hope they rebuild somewhere more welcoming to their type of business. Would be very nice to see them come to the Midwest.
This is good conspiracy material.
First they close down all the lead smelters. Then the wood gunstock factory mysteriously burns down.
Connect the dots people!!
DOOOOM!!!
