Where the hell is my rain, you dirtbags?
I was promised rain this week and I got bubkhis. Maybe some showers in the morning for about ten minutes. And Friday, which I’d like to enjoy, is supposed to be soaking. And these morons are trying to tell us they know what the hell the weather is going to do.
Pascal has a great post on this, and I hope he fine tunes it quickly and posts it, because it is perfect. Junk science has become the state sponsored religion and it is out to begin it’s own interdict and inquisition. Watch this space.

Thanks Og. Your vote of confidence may indeed be sufficient incentive to finish this baby.
As you know I’ve got to round-up many supporting links. But I’m not functioning at 100% (which to begin with may be likened to 10% for most writers). The flu I’ve been holding at bay for 3-4 days is starting to take over. Since it did not win in the first 72 hours of exposure it should be weakened enough to be a short takeover.
This post needs to be done right. You’ll be the first to know when its good enough.
Remember, p, Pithy.
Junk science is being taught in the schools. Need to talk with the boy almost daily on what tripe they are feeding him.
I’m still stuck for a proper title.
My current focus is start the Right thinking about how to build a case that seeks to prove, with the preponderance of evidence standard, that we have a state sanctioned religion. This religion seeks not only to exclude all religions in conflict with its views, but aims to dogmatically eliminate all contradictions to state policies that use that religion to excuse exceeding constitutional limits on government power.
How to encapsulate that in a few concise words that also catchy?
I’m off to the doctor. Currently thinking of “Fighting the Growth of a Religious State in America” as it will attract liberal readers too.
Use “Fighting the Growth of Theocracy in America”. The left loves to worry about a theocracy.
I like that jn!
Here’s the story on the fooked NOAA forecasts.
Back when AlGore wanted to foist his phony Anthropogenic Global Warming theory on the world to facilitate wealth transfer via carbon taxes (and he owned a carbon-credit trading exchange), his stooges in NOAA found that their models and the data supporting the models tended to disprove the AGW theory, so NOAA was convinced to pencil-whip all that data, placing phony data on temperatures into their models, and shout “ta-da, we told ya so”.
The climate experts have since identified that the phony data has screwed up the forecasting models past 3-days (like any modeling process, the further out you go in time with bad data, the worse the result gets), but evidently, NOAA would rather pass on bad forecasts rather than use good data and re-write the models.
Russia has good models, and the EU’s models are also decent. The University of Washington’s Climate Sciences Dept has written new models that are hyper-accurate for short-range, and has offered to collate their data for NOAA to update it’s models, but NOAA refuses. It would be very bad political juju for NOAA to have to admit the falsification process now, so they don’t, and their North American Model (NAM) will continue to suck.
Thanks JN. I like that too and may go with it.
However, there is more involved here. Theocracy has at its Greek route “the Rule of God,” and that may pose a problem.
You see, you don’t know something yet that Og knows. I employ the definition of religion that does not rely on any god to exist, and it helps make the case against what we are being confronted with.
Og: Theocracy can also mean “rule by religious leaders.” I really hate to bend this too much because we want this to sail well and not get hung up in the weeds once it’s launched. It’s hard enough for ME now; I don’t want to make this easy for the glowbull warning priests.
“The Emerging American Priesthood: Defeating Those Who Would Rule”
Doesn’t go to Theology, and is accurately descriptive. That said, I don’t know if it opens other assorted Worms in Cans?

You guys are great. Thanks for the help. You are also proving Og correct. I gotta stop over thinking this. It can take so little to turn something good into mush.
Here’s the definition of religion I’m relying on,
“a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance.”
Any growing state priesthood touting whatever Supreme uber alles issue, quickly gets the pink slip if legal eagles take advantage of it and some other evidence I’m weaving with it. Just look at the “religious test” currently going on in science and you can see millions of people with standing in court.
Indeed. Stop overthinking and go to press.

I don’t think this is wrong at all. I’ve long understood there to be a world of difference between faith and religion. I’m big on faith, not so much on religion.
