funshow
Went to the Valpo gunshow and saw a lot of things I wanted but not much I could afford. I DID find a nice dark horn Kris automatic, the classic Italian style with a leverlock. I always preferred the leverlock to the pushbutton types, but that’s because that’s what I began with, the Puma Springbok I had which someone else wanted more than I. Pics tomorrow, maybe. Right now I’m headed to bed and more of “Small Gods”. I’ve been reading more or less constantly so I keep my head somewhere else.

Good looking knife. I don’t like much stuff on the bolster but I might take a shine to this one.
We had a fun show here but I could not get clear to attend. Did get to spend some time with the boy using air rifles in the back yard. He still is having trouble with the LOP on his daisy pump. Hate to shorten the stock much but might have to so we can get him shooting better groups.
I look forward to maybe someday the Feds stopping being so incredibly stupid about automatic knives.
I am fortunate to live in Oregon where at least the State is happy enough with them.
I have yet to find a knife that suits me as well as a Victorinox Super Tinker. I like it so well that I keep at least three on hand lest I find them unavailable.

Gerry: I’m like that with my Uncle Henry 897. I have two here as I type, and I know I have five total.
I have a switchblade identical to the Puma, but it is made by Hubertus. I bought it in Germany during a US Navy port visit (smuggled it and two other automatics – – a cheap pushbutton and a cheap out-the-front – – onboard in my boots. The same store also sold the German Paratrooper’s gravity knife, which I should have purchased instead of the cheapies, which both broke before the cruise was over.
