There is a good deal
of misinformation being put forth about Ebola. My good friend and MD did postgraduate work on tropical diseases, and he explained a few things to me.
Keep these things in mind.
Don’t bother with obsessive handwashing, it will not help.
Be healthy. Those with compromised immune systems will fare worst.
Nothing you can do will prevent you from catching it if it comes to your neck of the woods.
The amount of material required is so minuscule you will never know where it came from.
In this country, with proper medical care, it is very surviveable, but that doesn’t mean it’s to be welcomed. It will leave a wake of people behind it with weakened immune systems that could die from a headcold.
Most of the “be calm” information you’re being handed is a lie. But be calm anyway, there’s not a damned thing you can do.
Political correctness caused the spread of AIDS. If AIDS had been quarantined at the beginning it would already have disappeared. it’s only here now because it was spread by people who weren’t stopped from spreading it because it would be “Insensitive” to quarantine them. And we’re not talking about prison here, we’re talking about preventing them from transmitting the disease and nothing else. We could also prevent this, but we’re not. We quarantined the goddamned astronauts because we thought they might bring cooties back from the MOON. We know there’s all kinds of shit on this planet, we know people have it, and we know they’re travelling with it, and we won’t lift a damned finger to do anything about it. Oh, unless it’s a damned dog or cat or whatever, then it has to be poked and prodded and shot and exrayed and etc.
I’m sick to death of this bullshit. P thinks this may be the 11th plague. I don’t know if I want him to be right or wrong.

Could be bad. Early on when the infection vector started up I knew we had a different bird. They are still operating like it is the old ebola and it is not.
Only good thing that might come of this if enough of the PC crowd catches it we could end PC in our lifetime.
Do it for the Children.
More and more I think The Last Centurion was prophetic rather than fiction.
If there is any ebola in your comunity, STAY AWAY FROM HOSPITALS. I suspect once this gets hopping, most hospital employees will stop coming to work. It is happening in Africa and in every zombie/virus outbreak mover ever made. It is 100% predictable.
If you think you have ebola, Stay home and keep it to yourself. Get someone to deliver lamotle, and sports drink for you until it passes. Set up your dead man posts to go automatic on your blogs in case we don’t hear from you.
For the conspiracy-minded among us:
Last month, I spent about a week, off and on, in a hospital visiting my mother. She’d had surgery and was recovering in a Brand New Hospital. Every room in that brand new hospital (or at least on surgery recovery floor) was designed to be private, large enough to hold a family of 4 or 5 in reasonable comfort for quite some time, lockable from the outside, and equipped with a computerized nurse’s station bedside and another outside the room at a window looking into the room.
It felt a little weird to me but sometimes I’m like that. YMMV.
Although the particular strain which is claimed to be the one in the DFW area, is supposed to NOT be “airborne”, what about infected individuals “coughing” or more importantly, “sneezing”?
The CDC is saying a 3 foot radius is sufficient in a non-airborne pathogen environment. But the affective and effective radius of a sneeze is far, far larger than that. And being this puppy is passed along via ANY bodily fluid(s)..seems a bit of spittle/mucus should be of no little concern.
That being the case, at the very least, shouldn’t all parties in an allegedly infected area be wearing face masks? Both those infected and those who would be potentially in close contact with same?
Or am I just pointing out something painfully obvious….but not politically correct.
Paul B: that’s the positive effects of the 11th plague.
The thing is, are you certain what the passover requirements are?
I’m thinking sheep’s blood on the doorways won’t stop this plague.
I agree Nathan. Og suggests that words of repentance need to be written on our hearts. It can’t hurt; and at least one can pray that it’s true.
