Went to a wake last night
For the oglet’s first fencing coach. A well loved man, the wake was loaded with people, and we stayed long enough to pay our respects and go.

Lots of people my age dying. More each year, A few younger than me, too. This death thing is no damned fun for anyone. Shame someone hasn’t made it illegal, that stops stuff for sure.
Just went to a 59th birthdate party for a good amigo who has 2 flavors of bone cancer. Survived a pancreatic necrosis that took 50+ of the pancreas in 2006. As y’all get older, things get worse.

Probably not a lot of hope for making it illegal, but these guys are trying to make that “death thing” more optional than has been the case so far. I donate to support them through my Amazon page (Amazon Smile) mostly on the theory that, while death may be ultimately certain, I don’t have to cooperate with it.
