It was 33 years ago today
No, Seargent Pepper did not teach the band to play.
33 years ago this very day, Roe vs Wade came to America.
Before roe vs wade, women who were in serious danger of losing their lives due to dangerous pregnancies died every day. No, wait, that’s bullshit. I have three family members who had life threatening pregnancies terminated in the 60’s, it happened all the time. No physician would allow a woman to die when terminating the pregnancy would save her life, it happened all the time. What then was the motivation for Roe vs wade? oh, it was all about convenience abortions, and never had anything to do with saving lives? Why didn’t we ever hear that? Oh, I see, it didn’t fit in with the agenda of the “pro choice” people? Oh, wait, you mean abortion was LEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES in cases of danger to the mother, and in many states, it was already legal in cases of incest and rape? And legalization in those cases was on it’s way in all 50 states? Why is that never heard about?
Face it, folks. Abortion in America today is being used in MOST CASES as birth control for people who have irresponsible unprotected sex. Roe vs Wade was bad law, and will always BE bad law. It didn’t have any business ever making it to the supreme court, and without the backing of the Hugh Hefners of the world, would never have made it as far as it did.
I can understand an accident, I can understand people who make bad choices. But to use abortion as birth control simply because you’re too lazy to put on a rubber or have your partner do so, is just disrespectful of human life. Any of the arguments that get used otherwise are simply bullshit, and kool-ade. Don’t swallow it. Do the research yourself, learn for yourself, know the facts.
Here’s a good place to go to find information. Yes, it’s a catholic site. No, they aren’t going to be unbiased. Tough.
Ironic, isn’t it, that less than a week before the 33rd anniversary that it SCOTUS made assisted sucicide the norm, huh?

They only sent it back to the States, where it belongs, saying the Fedgov gots no business stickin’ it’s overgrown nose in it.
Now if we can get Fedgov out of drug legislation, and into securing borders, hanging traitors, and obeying the Constitution as it was written we’ll be on the road to regaining some liberty.
Hi! I’m calling myself “fedup” because I’ve been fed full of the liberal koolade and I have no tolerance for the facts. I didn’t read the post above, don’t understand a thing, and just came here to be pissed off because I think I have a right to end life at any time. I’m wrong of course, and now find myself, like all fucktards, banned.
The abortion issue must, like the gun issue, be considered in the larger context.
I recall vividly how, in the fall of 1991, there was a big abortion case before the Supreme Court. I was teaching in a catholic high school at the time. In the faculty lounge my co-workers were discussing with glee plans on how when they won this one the would go on to reinstate laws against contraception.
Yes, they wanted to take us back to the days when The Pill, even condoms, were illegal in many states. They definitely were of the opinion that they had the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to enforce their church’s dictates on this subject on the entire US population.
It’s like gun registration. Registration = confiscation, and no sentient lifeform pretends otherwise.
The abortion issue is the same. There is definitely a larger agenda here. First abortion, then The Pill, then diaphrams and condoms.
Oh yes, and in the matter of clarification, yes, this means they quite believe they have the right to take you away at gunpoint and put you in jail for having had sterilization surgery.
Charles, you need to back away from the keyboard for a minute. Observant Catholics already don’t use the pill, condoms, or any other artificial means of birth control. They arent’ interested in making those things illegal because they don’t fall under their radar. If you heard catholics saying anything else, they were misguided, and do not represent the body of the church.
1: if you go to the link and read, you will understand that overturning roe vs wade does not in ANY WAY make abortion illegal.
2: if you go to the link and read, you realiuze just how ignorant it is to compare overturning roe vs wade to gun control.
I won’t expect anyone to do either, so I’m closing this thread before it becomes MORE contentious.
