day one: setup.
Uhaul at 0630 to rent truck, load booth from storage unit, pickup last minute items from ups, haul to show, drag in. Assemble and set up guns and displays, and now, at 2145, eating dinner. Makes for a very long day.

Shot show this week? Have fun you lucky dog!
You are an exhibitor? I did not know that. What do you exhibit?
He sells the machines that make the cotter* pins that the AR-15 uses. Don’t fall for cheap imitations from China running crappy ADA code. You only get one chance to make a cotter pin right. (machine that applied anti-rust coating to Cotter pins sold separately).

Even though I’m sure you are working like a rented mule I’m still green eyed with jealousy.
One fine January I’m going to be able to hang out in Vegas and go to all the first of the year fun. Between CES and the Shot Show and all the other distractions in the area I’m sure I could figure out what to do with my time, including getting cozy with some poker tables.
For most of it I would laugh — for instance, I hear the Liberace Museum may be reopening in a downtown location, so it’s another opportunity to see “The World’s Biggest Rhinestone.”
Did get to have “The Star Trek Experience” before that went away, I’d be tickled if I could do that again; that’s a piece of “lost Las Vegas” I have a real fondness for, even though it was hands down the cheesiest show iin Vegas — which is saying something right there — and so hokey it was hilarious, like the Liberace Museum, often unintentionally so.)

(I almost got thrown out of the Liberace Museum … every time I turned a corner I found something even more staggering and mind-boggling and in even more incredibly bad taste than what I had just been looking at and it cracked me up. By the time I hit the gift shop I was hysterical and security was following me around like I was boosting televisions.)
I suspect that like all true Road Warriors Og is having a week of not noticing anything else going on except the show and where he’s staying … and then the airport. You get in the groove and every place is just like every other place. When I traveled as part of a racing team I could tell you about the airport of lots of places, where the racetrack was in proximity to the airport, and the closest hotel to the racetrack. And nothing else. But even that is super cool, considering. (I’ve been home too long, I guess.)
You go, boy!
