I was more than a bit miffed at Firehand for posting pics of a lovely little cadet rifle, and further posting a link to a place that sells them.

This is a martini style schuetzen rifle, highly ornate, heavily engraved, with an ornate underlever and adjustable peep sight. Here’s the other side:

The barrel is every bit as ornate. I’m going to have the barrel rebored to 25-20 WCF (the original bore and chamber were damaged)and fit a stock. My intention is to use this in ASSRA matches which they shoot not far from here every year. It’ll probably take me ten years to collect the cash I need to finish it off, but I’ll get’er done.
