I am going to find it very hard
not to bitchslap the next person I hear whine about “Income inequality” At the lowest levels, work pays what the market can bear, and no government interference will change that. If someone needs an employee to do a job, and they can afford to pay $9 an hour, no law is going to make them able to pay $15 an hour.
At higher levels, work pays what you can negotiate. And if you negotiate a high salary for yourself, you’d better be able to produce results commensurate with your compensation, or else you’ll be on your ear in short order.
Income inequality is an artificial construct- it’s like saying there’s depth inequality in the ocean. Morons.

As long as you are citing the Code of Moron, Og, I nominate “white privilege” for a mention…
An old girlfriend INSISTED that the only reason I made five times as much as she did was because I had a penis. I had BS and MS degrees in Computer Science and was working 60 hour weeks as a consultant. She had an AA degree in Women’s Studies and worked 15 hours a week answering phones at the college where we met. Mind you, I could have programmed a computer to do her job, she couldn’t have Women’s Studied a way to do MINE.
Yeah, there’s a reason she’s an ex-girlfriend. There were reasons why she was a present-girlfriend too, but we won’t get into that except to point out that men (especially young men) can be like carpets.
Hey, you give a damn about what’s going on outside your house, you must be feeling more better! All right!
Jenny
Amen, Og. The short form of “income inequality” is “envy”. (“Envy” is also shorthand for “social justice”, but I digress.)
Can we also get those who cite the “women earn 77 cents for every dollar men earn” trope added to the bitchslap-ee list?
I got nothing to add to this.
I say it’s a POLITICAL construct…
Political/artifical, potato/potahto.
