In case you still marvel at the genius of Michael Jackson
Remember he lifted a good deal of his stuff from others. Not that he was alone, but he lifted his stuff from the damnedest places. Like the moonwalk.
Sorry about the facebook crap, this is the only one I found that I could embed.
The over the top dancing frog is Sharon Baird- you know, “SHARON!” from the Mickey Mouse Club? OK, I know some of you arent that old.

Huh, didn’t know that. Thanks! And yes, I remember Sharon.
There was a girl on “The New Mickey Mouse Club”, ca 1978, who was my Annette Funicello. I don’t even remember what she looked like, let alone what her name was. I do remember that my sister, on her way to art school in California, spent a day at Disneyland, and there got a photograph of the filming of an ep of NMMC. That girl was in it, but it was not a very good photograph.
…turns out this is not a very good story, but it’s the one I have.
He had some awesome vocal chops for a lil’ black kid.
“I Want You Back” and “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town” still sound amazing to me.
I’ve never been mesmerized by anyone’s dancing much….
I could never take anything away from his talent. He just borrowed stuff and made it his own. This is just one of the weirder borrows.
Even in the frog outfit, Sharon made me all tingly In the keeshkas.
A friend of mine once articulated that feeling of pre-pubescent yearning this way: “I wasn’t old enough to know what sex was, but I knew I wanted to have it with Diana Rigg.”
