Yeah, we kinda need you to be at a meeting on Monday.
At 07:30. No biggie, really.
“We need to dispel some rumors”
yeah? What rumors? I haven’t heard any rumors. SO I asked.
“What rumor on earth could possibly be worse than the actual truth? ”
People don’t seem to have a very good grasp of the facts, sometimes. And they hate it when they have to admit I’m right.

What, did they think you were leaving? Hate those kinds of meetings.
“What, did they think you were leaving?”
LMAO. If that were so, they sure as hell found the wrong way to avert that disaster. Although I could see them having the runs over the thought.
Mostly the rumors were about a buyout which is not happening.
#2 on the hit parade. I would be eying the exit.
I skipped 2 buyouts at work. I should’ve taken the second. But I didn’t believe it was time to go. All the talent left on the second, and only the unemployable stayed.(yeah, I’m starting to wonder about my skill set, why do you ask??)
Now, we are starting to death spiral. Not too fast, some old customers have noticed, but it’s obvious to the employees.
Oh man, one of THOSE… sigh…
