When it rains, it PISSES ME OFF
Now, it’s been a couple of nasty weekends, to begin with. Last was no exception. Today, I get a call from the Ogwife, her Escape is having trouble. So I spend a good part of the afternoon juggling crap and trying to pice together a plan. The escape is under warranty, so we’re unconcerned, but the wife is working, I’m working, the daughter has to be picked up from school, then picked up at Mom’s after because Mom has a meeting, the wife teaches tonight, and the guy she chose to come get the car and tow it to the shop is coming from Lowell, futhuchrissakes. And as soon as he gets ready to show I gotta drop everything and wedge my ass into the wife’s old Honda so I can meet him there with the keys and follow him to the shop to make sure he gets there allright.
And I STILL have work to do on the sister/brotherinlaw’s car. A bunch of it. What pisses me off is the attention I pay to our vehicles, and to have the Escape crap on us like this.
Good lord.

I absolutely detest having to buy cars and shoes. They’re both too damn expensive and there’s no way of knowing if either is any good until it’s too late.
I’m damned sick of the weather, too. I have a 900F I want to be out shredding pavement with, but it sits forlornly in the yard under its tarp, awaithing better weather. Until I rebuild the clutch (an hour’s job), it goes nowhere. Fucking rain.
I will refrain from any comments telling you to buy GM products…. ;)
jimmy, no GM products for me, thanks. Dad did 27 years with Ford Motor Company, and we’ll continue to use FoMoCo products. But I do understand.
