That time of year.
People getting a few last motorcycle rides in, people running around in hoodies in convertibles, pushing back the inevitable raking of lawns and wrapping of roses.
I myself am trying to avoid thinking about it. I’m in no wise ready for winter. I have so much to do, and frankly, precious little energy to do it. Hopefully we have a long cool spring, hopefully the gloebull warmening will come through for us just this once.

Went out and add a new skid to the snow blower and ran it for a bit. Have to see that will hold the snow off for a month or so.
It is some really nice weather we are having of late.
We had five minutes of wet snow yesterday. I almost cried.
They’re also talking about that damn Al Neenyo guy again. Dammit. When Al comes to visit my part of the country it’s more cold and more snow.
Jenny
I would also like to slap that al neenyo guy around a bit.
Dunno if you’ve seen on bookface but pa-in-law blessed us with the gift of a bass boat back in August.
We’ve had it out all of three times since then.
This last time (Columbus Day) I managed to chew up the prop on the ramp while loading onto the trailer. That hasn’t gone on bookface because pa-in-law might see and overreact.
I’m desperate to get it fixed so we can maybe work a little more fishing in before it gets cold. And, yes, I know cold is relative since I’m in Central AL.
Scott: take a look at the piranha props. Flexible polymer. If One BLADE Is Damaged YOU Can Replace One BLADE
Repair on mine isn’t so bad. $145 plus shipping each way to Shelbyville, IN.
Unfortunately that’s going to eat my birthday money. I was hoping to buy a target shooting bow with it.
How much bow do you want? I know where there are some good used ones.
