the Escape abandoned me in a gas station in the hood tonight. Waited about two hours for a towtruck. Hope tomorrow the problem presents and is resolvable.
All the bloody leaves are off the trees now, thanks to the bloody wind. Except of course the red oaks, just because. Science should be looing at why those mothers hang onto their leaves so hard. Baldness would disappear overnight.
M’going to bed. Bloody Friday the 13th.

Just replaced fuel pump in our 01 escape @ 315k. Its for sale. Wife says no more. I had to get it towed for that as it was in a lot where I could not work on it and it was raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock.
We have found a 2013 escape with a year/15k bumper to bumper warranty left, $16k. Thats as close as I will get to a new vehicle. Sigh, I had plans for that money…..
Sorry to hear that. Hope it’s an easy fix.
Was the fuel pump. stopped deader than a hammer. Replaced and back on the road (Well, will be as soon as I get a sammich in me)
sounds like some new wheels are in order. Or on order as the case may be.
The tank on ours had lots of varnish type trash and it appears that stopped up the preclean screen maybe causing the pump fail? Or maybe just worn out after 315k….
That big plastic nut did not want to loosen and did not want to go back on either, called a real mechanic friend of mine and he told me to warm it in a microwave, didn’t want to stink up the other half’s microwave so I used a hairdryer. It did help get it back on. I’m getting too old for that crap.
I have two red oaks and a white oak. The white oak is bare and all the leaves are out. The reds have barely started dropping.
And of COURSE the damn down planted a maple on the curb next to my house, and those suckers usually start dropping early.
We’ve also had an insane crop of acorns from the red oaks this year, we get that every few years. I hate those little bastards.
