   Plenty of work cranking up down here… tens of billions of $$$ in new construction. Somebody with the nerve to claim a salable set of skills in the industrial sector, especially in the more technical biz, are in good demand.

   It is, however, down here in southwest Louisiana.

   Prayers you got: also best wishes. My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying Texas, which is one of the better job markets in the USA right now, if you feel like relocating. Even if you don’t, I’m sure someone with your hard-learned skills and work ethic will have no trouble finding work up there. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you.

    Hopes and prayers always go out to my family and friends. I am sorry to hear the news. Should you decide to try things a bit to the south, I would be happy to put in a word for you down here. Probably a bit boring for you, but you would definitely be overly qualified and they are always looking for help. They have the automations department, which my brother could tell you about, or, there is always the machining part of the job. Better scenery and plenty of gun clubs near by.     This is my fear, they set me free at my age and I can’t find work with health coverage then end up on a .g0v death panel list.

    Prayers offered Og & family. Wondering when (not if) this will happen here. Business is tight everywhere and worse in the Midwest, compounded even more in the defense sector. 14 months to retirement if the economy does not tank before.

    Sorry to read this… as said above you represented the company in sometimes difficult circumstances.. perhaps when things settle out you may wish to share the cause… it does sound as if company was bought out, downsized, etc. Wishing you the best of luck on the job front… was in the same straits years ago and have no wish to ever experience it again

    Remington has opened a plant a couple hours North of me in Huntsville. Just sayin’. It’s going to be 70 here tomorrow and Saturday. Just sayin’. :)
