Well, a couple weeks into the new gig
And I have to say, I made the right choice. These are good people, and there are a lot of very good opportunities here. I have some things to learn, and some things to teach, but I have already I hope proved my usefulness.
I will travel more, but when I am home I will be home more, little daily travel. Still getting used to everything.
glad you like it. I am working for a mega corp and don’t mind it much. Been there little over a year and now I am the expert. Scary if you think about it.
The really scary thing is when you’ve been there six months and people who were in your training class stop you to ask basic questions. *sigh*

I just had my annual review at my current gig. Salary increase brought me to my highest annual gross ever. Hard to believe I took a $5k pay cut to come here back in 2012. I did that because it was a way to unwind a relocation that had gone all sideways on me.
Been a lot of bad news lately and this post has made me feel better. It’s so great to read of improvement in situations. I’m sure they’re overdue and well earned and paid for in blood, but here they are and we’ll take ’em.
Maybe the next person with good news will be me. A girl can hope.
