asks the musical question: Which makes a worse “smush”? Junebugs or cockroaches?
I happen to have a lot of experience in this area of expertise, and I can easily say: Neither. The best “smush” is a Potato Bug, (I’m not sure of it’s actual name) a bright red beetle with a hard shell that I managed to convince my kid sister one year were “potato berries”. The crunch of her eating those berries will be with me all my life.

Don’t rule out the 17 year Cicada! They smuch loudly and leave a 3 foot circle of sprayed guts.

I will say that junebugs are much easier to heat with a magnifying glass until their guts boil and they explode than roaches are.
Roaches are too fast.
