Immigration
I have had the opportunity to work with an overlarge portion of illegals through my lifetime. And a few legals.
I haven’t got answers to this problem, it’s complex, and simple answers will not work.
I know this: Many if not most of the people who come here to work and better themselves, are decent people, have good strong families, and have a lot of the better qualities we, as Americans, have lost.
I would like it if it was harder to get across the border illegally. I would liket if there were some hoops you had to jump through to get citizenship. I would like it if people would stop casting aspersions on what for the most part are damned decent people.

I have very little problem with the people themselves. If I was in their shoes, you bet your ass I’d cross the border to secure a better life for my kids, laws be damned.
The main problem I have is the huge toll they take on taxpayer funded social services.
Free health care and education for illegal aliens is madness. Our prison system is overwhelmed with illegals.
I could live with an amnesty if the border was sealed properly FIRST.
Any illegal alien waving a sign calling for the violent overthrow of large portions of the American southwest should be deported via trebuchet.
Mmmm. Trebuchet. Mmm.
My SIL comes from central Mexico and has been jumping through firey hoops and working with an extremely disfunctional system for YEARS to maintain her legality in this country and work toward citizenship.
I don’t have any easy answers either, but the system is very broken and needs to be fixed. As far as the protesters go? I agree with Grau – deport the lot. Make them play by the rules.
